In Memoriam: Louis Esposito

Mr. Louis E. Esposito, 89, died on May 18, 2018, in Morristown Medical Center. Born in Port Morris, New Jersey, Mr. Esposito lived in Mendham, from 1957 to 1978, Netcong and Long Valley before moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in 1989, where he was an avid golfer.

He served in the U.S. Army, 24th Infantry Division, in Korea as a master sergeant and received one Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, and two Purple Hearts. Mr. Esposito worked at Warner Lambert in Morris Plains for 36 years as a cabinet maker and locksmith, retiring in 1989.

He was a former member of the Fathers & Friends of the Delbarton School and a member of N.J. Exempt Firemen’s Association, having served many years on the Mendham Fire Department (1962 – 1972) and the Netcong Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Esposito is survived by his son, Lee Esposito, and his wife, Melanie, and his grandchildren, Andrew Esposito, Amanda Esposito Hunt, and her husband, Phillip. He was predeceased by his siblings, Michael Esposito, Julie Acquaviva, and Josephine DiBernard.

Visiting in the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham on Wednesday, May 23 from 5 to 7 pm. Interment Services will be private.
